Q— How do I know what has changed in my document? A— If you send your documents in Microsoft Word format, WordSharp will return two copies to you when the English editing is complete. One is the original with changes highlighted. The other is the final version of your document.
Q— Will it be edited the way I want? A— All of our English editors have doctoral degrees and years of experience as teachers, published authors and professionals in various disciplines. We do dissertation editing, thesis editing, case studies, CVs, monographs and countless other types of English editing. We provide the right English editor for your needs, whether it’s a book, report, grant application or professional paper.
Q— Do I need the latest version of Word or do I have to use a PC? A— No, the editing function has been a long-time feature of Word and the files we send you work with a PC or Mac.
Q— Do you work in formats other than Microsoft Word? A—Yes, we accept many other formats but we prefer MS Word.
Q— What about citation style and formatting? A— Our editors ensure that your documents comply with your style requirements. Specify whether you are using APA, AMA, MLA, Chicago, Turabian, Harvard, CSE, Bluebook or something else.
Q— How long does your English proofreading and English editing service take? A— A member of our staff can usually respond immediately and may return your work to you in an hour or two. We complete longer submissions within one to three days. An English editor will accept the project only if we can have the finished documents back to you before your deadline.
Q— How much does your English proofreading and English editing service cost? A— We offer English proofreading for just a penny a word [$.01/word]. If you want the full English editing service, professional proofreading, style editing and structure, the total cost is just three cents per word [$.03/word].
We offer discounts for documents longer than forty pages. Please contact Client Services with a description of your document and we’ll quote you the lowest rate possible.
Q— Do you offer price breaks for bulk/long-term standing orders and/or business relationships? A— We apply discounts for larger word counts. Additionally, some of our employees may be kept on retainer if you find this better suits your needs. If your business, organization or agency would like to retain our services for a large project or for a longer term, a Client Services representative would be happy to discuss this with you.
Q— What are the payment options? A— We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, bankcards and PayPal payments.
Q— What are rates based on? A— Word count and your choice between English proofreading, the English editing service, or document creation. Unlike other English editing service companies, we do not have confusing per page or per 1,000-word rates or vague quotes. We provide exact per word figures for standard editing and proofing services and specific quotes for document creation. Send us your document and specify editing or proofreading. For document creation, just send us your specifications.
Q— Is there a minimum charge for English editing or for English proofreading? A— To cover administrative costs, there is a minimum three-dollar [USD] charge. To avoid the minimum charge, you may send more than one document per order.
Q— What about confidentiality? A— WordSharp considers the issues surrounding intellectual copyright and confidentiality to be crucial. Only your English editor and a WordSharp Managing Editor have access to your submission. Each of our staff is required to sign a copy of the Confidentiality Agreement, which ensures that under no circumstances can an employee share your documents with anyone outside of WordSharp. If you require a separate non-disclosure agreement, contact us. Unless you request otherwise, all client files are deleted after sixty days. WordSharp does not sell, trade, transfer, rent or share ANY client information with ANY other party.
