- Toronto is one of the sunniest cities in North America with over 300 days.

- Like movie props, Toronto Hydro has been building fake homes to hide transformers placed inside. Since WWII, the company and its predecessor have built over 200 such homes matching the architecture of each neighborhood and 79 of them are still used to hide transformers today.
- Toronto has a house that's been cut in half right down the middle of its peak. Half of the property was sold to a developer. The other half of the house remains standing.
- It takes two weeks to decorate the 60-foot tree in Nathan Phillips Square.
